This annual event allows the NEU's black members to discuss
and address issues of race equality, education, and the workplace.

The Conference plays an integral role in ensuring
that the NEU's work is in the interests of its black members.

For the NEU, the term ‘Black’ is used for “all members who self-identify as
Black, Asian or any other ‘minority ethnic’ groups who do not identify
themselves as white”. This includes Gypsy and Roma non-white people.
